This cold morning I was craving something soupy - what better way to start the day than with pozole? I had the red pozole, and it was terrific. I added a pinch of salt with lime, and the flavors transformed. Also, if you like spicy and onion, add it. It will be richer in flavor. The prices are reasonable - we paid under $40 for two large bowls of pozole and two sodas. The services were friendly and fast. This restaurant is family own. I strongly recommend pozole. I will need to return to try their other foods.

The spot for pozole. If you are in a 50 mile vicinity, its worth it. A nice Tamarindo to go with it will do you good! This store has been here for atleast 30 years..... we drive from the suburbs to get pozole from here.

Yes...I know I could have took the photo before pouring half the soup into a separate dish, but that does not change how great the flavor is. Authentic and hot, what more could I ask for. Will definitely be back for the pozole soon.

This place is a gem. The pazole is a hominy-based chicken soup and is offered as blanco (mild), verde (medium), or rojo (spicy). My pazole verde was spiced perfectly. It was loaded with a generous amount of chicken and came with onions, radish, and cabbage to top, along with a half avocado, pork rinds, and corn tortila to complement it. I will be back.

1st) start with some chicken flautas, you can share that for 2 ppl at least. 2) order your pozole, my family is strictly gang RED pozole (it has to be spicy if not you doing it wrong) and this spot delivered also convince someone to get the Caldo De Res because that was PERFECT In short after I left here I was thankful for the four square article that someone wrote https://foursquare.com/top-places/chicago/best-places-caldo looking for the best Caldo De Res in the city and I was content with every bite, leave these ppl more than 20% because cot damn their soups are on point, I'd place them second to my mamas. Their Caldo De Res was not over salted at all. Their pozole is so close to my moms, I was happy they introduced me to adding chicharon, I would recommend trying it with one spoonful first of soup see how you like it. In short my San Louis Potosi Born mama approves both soups... and she's not one to easily give thumbs up. Wash it down with agua jamaica. Finish with some dessert, we went with flan it was decent.

Green Pozole? Or red pozole... No "or" needed, get both! Both equally delicious and worth ordering at the same time. The regular size is plenty generous in portion to share between 2 hungry adults and the large portion literally feeds an army, no joke! Staff is super friendly and the space is small but clean and very inviting.
